For the West Virginia Forest Farming Initiative to increase West Virginia entrepreneurs’ participation in the growing global market for Appalachian botanicals

For Create Your State to provide support to 25 communities, cultivate a statewide network, and introduce the “Create Your State” Docuseries, an episodic, documentary program that showcases WV towns and highlights strategies for community transformation

To keep farms financially viable; to promote conservation practices that protect soil, water, air, and climate; and sustain the network of farmers who rely on the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture and each other for support

To convene funders for learning, analysis, and collaboration, and support for affinity groups to accelerate an equitable Appalachian economic transition

For young children and at-risk seniors to have access to fresh ingredient, locally made, nutrient dense meals from a novel food systems network of regional central kitchens (over two years)

To provide seed funding to selected clinicians to implement new approaches and to explore innovative cancer care

To operationalize over $2 million in federal and private funding to transform West Virginia’s land reuse system so vacant, abandoned, and dilapidated properties become assets for community and economic development

To implement Portals, a computer modeling curriculum program, across Greene, Fayette, and Washington Counties (over 18 months)
