To engage teachers and K-12 students across southwestern Pennsylvania in activities designed to develop civic skills and foster lifetime habits of citizenship

To award mini-grants designed to encourage, facilitate, and recognize innovative instructional programs in schools in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia

To increase access to STEAM career exposure activities for elementary students and employment access for young women in at-risk environments through the expansion of Libera’s social enterprise model

To provide professional development on creating inclusive classrooms for all students in rural elementary schools

For the Community Leadership & Civil Advocacy Certificate program which prepares students to actively pursue community leadership roles and effectively advocate for themselves and their communities (over two years)

For Civil-Military Innovation Institute, in partnership with the Clay County School District, to develop a hands-on, experiential learning, technology and innovation-focused curriculum for high school students

To support the launch of the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading’s consortium of regional funders focused on highlighting opportunities, promising solutions, and emerging developments of special relevance to rural and small-city communities

To recruit and retain teachers to West Virginia by highlighting quality of life, intentionally integrating them within the community, and offering opportunities for personal and professional growth (over two years)

To train adults in southwestern Pennsylvania into jobs associated with the energy transition and the Build Back Better Grant Collaborative

To maintain the Rural Arts Collaborative artists in residency program and support the transition of the collaborative to Fayette County Cultural Trust
